I became curious about what Women before, thinks to Women NOW. So, I asked my grandmother (Lola Tina) about what she thinks of women now? their differences? their similarities?

This is my grandmother, beautifully aged. You will see the wrinkles,  and that smile, how she lived
her life.
Lola Tina says, some women before were prohibited to go outside after 6 PM. She also applied this rule to her children.

She notices that most teenagers nowadays were still outside at midnight.

In the aspect of courtship, "women before were hard to please, not like this generation that most courtships were done through texting or in social media sites", she said.

"Women before being really obedient to their parents and respect them fully, some women now are hard to discipline and if you give them advice in life they'll think you're already controlling them".

When it comes to education, "Women before are mostly at home and not going to school that makes them oppressed to the society, women now are striving for their dreams, can go to school and make decisions of their own. I finished grade 3 back then and just learning how to read and write makes me happy ".

She said, "When a guy hugs you, he had to marry you, because they highly respect the body of the woman before, unlike these generations."

The perspective of my grandmother may be different from what other women before thinking of women now.

But by these observations and a hint from the past can open our eyes that a big changed happen to women and men.

We've just learned from Lola Tina that life before has been very unfair for women, and these generations or US should be thankful and keep striving for our dreams, advocacies, and future.
