So, I've received an email about OILY SKIN 😓😓
Well, I'm not a dermatologist to recommend products or a skin expert to give you such advice. Maybe this advice could help you, but not thoroughly remove the oiliness of your skin.
Regarding that, I also have oily skin. Mainly a combination skin. My T-zone is oily, forehead and chin. My cheeks are in a normal type of skin. Most of the breakouts happened in my T-zone (where the oiliest part of my face)
So, I feel some of you who are really desperate to have smooth normal skin. Well, it was hard to attain. Due to weather conditions, your environment, heredity, lifestyle, and diet.
It is actually normal to experience oiliness throughout the day, it is part of the cycle in our body.
Some of these oils are the ones that keep our skin from aging, and stripping these healthy oils -by means of using harsh soaps, too much cleansing, too many products, not wearing the right product, or an unhealthy lifestyle- can contribute to many unwell results.
Most of the time we thought that by cleansing too much, we can achieve an oil-free skin. But stripping down the oils from our face will force it to produce more oils in a not normal level. Which most of us right now, experience it.
Others, use tons of products to block the pores from producing these oils, which can give unwanted
results to our skin and others do not moisturize because they thought moisturizing can contribute to oily skin.
Well, the counterpart to that after you stripped away the oils of your skin, you have to put moisture in it to substitute or to help your skin to not produce a lot of oil.
So, here is some advice that I've been doing recently to achieve a normal type of skin. Well, not most of the time it works. Still, it depends upon the skin of the person.
1. Stay Hydrated
Oooopppsss! You may have already read this, but it is a fact that oily skin triggers dehydration or the dryness of the skin that can contribute to oily skin, but still, it depends upon the skin. Somewhat people who still drink enough water have dry skin, some still have oily skin. But take note or importance of this.
2. Be gentle
They say exfoliation and cleansing are needed, especially for oily skin. (STOP RIGHT THERE). Crucial exfoliation and too much cleansing can cause much oiliness of the skin.
4. Blot before powder
Want to powder your nose already? Blot first that oil from your nose before putting powder, as it can block the pores. Thus, blotting can remove oiliness for the meantime, but the safest way whenever you are outdoors (than using a tissue)
5. Last rinse with cold
I have been doing this, and it improved the case of my skin. Though it takes time before the results will be seen and the effect is not permanent. Thus, it can contribute to less oily skin and shrink pores in the meantime.
6. Try to cool products
Hm... Another tip for you guys!!!! Well, putting in the fridge your moisturizer or mask may
decrease the size of the pores of your skin. You will feel that refreshing sensation as you apply the moisturizer or mask from your face.
7. Less is More
Yes! Yes! and another YES! Putting too much can aggravate the oils from your face. Instead of putting tons of products from your face just to decrease the oiliness, you can actually do this with fewer products. Some products, most especially natural-based products can give you benefits all-in-one. With that, you are not just being gentle to your skin, but making it breathe (giving it time to itself to relax from harsh chemicals that we put in our skin).
