NBI Clearance Philippines for OFW or none show person

0

This is a new thing for my mother, who is working overseas. I do not even know what process should be done. I have done some googling but have no definite information. 😓

I'm sharing this so that anyone struggling to know what to do will not have to spend money to go back and forth on any NBI branch, wasting time and effort only to find out you are doing this wrong.

The first thing is to get a form if you don't have one; this form is different and is provided ONLY by the NBI Main branch, which is located at United Nations Ave, Ermita, Manila, 1000 Metro Manila

Go to the Third Floor and ask for a fingerprint form for a no-show or OFW. It looks like this:

If the country you are in has a Philippine Embassy, then you can ask for this form. The country where my Mother is working does not have a Philippine embassy, so I have to go to the NBI UN Branch to get one.

After that, send this form via DHL or any courier that can ship the documents internationally.

Now, if you already have the form with you, make sure you have or prepare the following :

  • Schedule of NBI Online: https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/
  • Certificate of Authorisation - certified true copy and notarized, PHOTOCOPIED AS WELL
  •  Passport copy - needs to be notarized and photocopied
  • Birth Certificate copy - if possible
The NBI UN Avenue branch has its own photocopier at the bottom of the building, the officer will provide instructions on this, or you may ask any personnel in the building.

Once that is done, kindly wait for the release, which takes 5 days or a week.

The guide has come to an end, and I sincerely hope that the information provided will assist you in getting your NBI Clearance or for your family working overseas ✌
